Supportive housing is a highly effective strategy that combines affordable housing with intensive coordinated services to help people struggling with chronic physical and mental health issues maintain stable housing and receive appropriate health care. Study after study has shown that supportive housing not only resolves homelessness and increases housing stability, but also improves health and lowers public costs by reducing the use of publicly funded crisis services, including shelters, hospitals, psychiatric centers, jails, and prisons.
For those experiencing poverty, access to affordable housing is the most fundamental indicator of long-term success. Lack of access to a home can be overwhelming, and potentially isolating. We built a comprehensive approach to affordable housing, creating proactive partnerships for residents to help them navigate complex systems that disrupt positive outcomes. These life-changing programs and services demonstrates time and time again that, given the right opportunities, every person can flourish.
